The following table gives the distribution of students of two sections according to the marks obtained by them:
Represent the marks of the students of both the sections on the same graph by two frequency polygons. From the two polygons compare the performance of the two sections.
Solution:
We can find class marks for both of the sections. Class intervals are same for both the sections which means that class marks will also be same for both the sections.
Class mark =(lower limit + upper limit)/2
Now, we can construct two frequency polygons on the same graph.
Performance of class A is better than class B. We can see from the graph that there are more high scoring students in class A as comparing to class B.
