15. In fig. ABC is a quadrant of a circle of radius 14 cm and a semicircle is drawn with BC as diameter. Find the area of the shaded region (blue).
Area of shaded region (blue)= Area of semi-circle with BC as diameter(red area + blue area)-Area of segment of circle (shaded in red) (1)
AB=AC=14 cm {Radii of circle}
Using Pythagoras Theorem, we can say that

BC is the diameter of semicircle (red area + blue area) which is equal to

Therefore, radius of semicircle
