When we want to calculate value of f(a) when a is any constant, we simply replace value of x by a in the given function f(x). We follow the same procedure to calculate value of f(A) where A is any matrix. We replace value of x by A and do the required calculations.
For example, we are given matrix
and
.
Can you calculate value of F(A)?
F(A) =
where, I is an Identity matrix.
Note*: that we must include I (Identity Matrix) with number 3 because matrix cannot be added to natural number. Matrix can only be added to matrix.
F(A) =
.
F(A)=
.
F(A)=
which is the answer.
